In Museum on the Mound’s free digital workshop, learners will use their investigative, numeracy and measurement skills to explore different things used as money around the world. Handling materials will be sent in advance to make the workshops sensory and engaging and to bring Maths and Money to life.
Our live workshops are delivered to individual classes by a member of our team. Teachers should complete a booking form via the link below, so we can arrange a suitable time with the teacher (each workshop takes approximately 30 minutes), obtain a postal address to send handling materials, and send a link to the workshop to the appropriate teacher. Each link is only accessible by the class teacher and the member of the Museum education team delivering the workshop.
Teachers are sent a confirmation letter, a copy of our digital safeguarding policy, and supporting information on the workshop.
We would be happy to offer the workshop throughout Maths Week England to multiple classes. For those who do not want a live workshop, we can offer a pre-recorded version that would be supported by free handling materials sent by the Museum.
