Maths for Kicks, Not for Ticks – Andrew Jeffrey (Keynote)<\/strong><\/p>\n The National Curriculum is currently under review.\u00a0Whatever the outcome, it is clear that we need to radically reconsider how we think about and engage with mathematics. In this keynote Andrew will suggest what has gone wrong, offer some pointers as to how we might address the issues, and offer some practical ways to bring back the joy of maths in our classrooms.<\/p>\n Curious Minds Count: The Joy of Mathematical Discovery – Alex Bellos (Keynote)<\/strong><\/p>\n Alex will entertain you with stories from his career as a maths populariser. He will show how he engages the general public with mathematical ideas, and suggest tips and tricks to help make primary school children fall in love with the subject.<\/p>\n Helping Children with SEND Love Maths – Clare Christie (Keynote)<\/strong><\/p>\n Most children will take part in over 150 maths lessons a year. How can we support children with the most complex needs to feel joyful and confident about maths day in day out when they may not be able to access much of the curriculum their peers are being taught?
