We will not accept any behaviour which is unkind, upsetting or excludes any one person or group of people. If what you\u2019re doing is making someone feel uncomfortable, that is enough reason to stop doing it.<\/p><p>2. During a MWE activity you should:<\/p><ul><li>\u00a0Be kind, respectful and inclusive to everyone and treat everyone equally;<\/li><li>Listen and respect each other\u2019s views and ideas; if you disagree with someone, challenge and discuss the idea, not the person;<\/li><li>Use welcoming and inclusive language, including regarding gender;<\/li><li>For online activities, use any interactive features sensibly and appropriately. Do not spam the chat with repeated or irrelevant material, as this stops other from being able to participate;<\/li><li>Respect others if they need to take time away from an activity, or need to turn off their cameras\/microphones for online events;<\/li><li>Look after yourself \u2013 if you are becoming overwhelmed, take a break;<\/li><li>Arrive on-time for timed events (late arrivals may not be able to be included).<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>3. Everyone has a responsibility to help keep MWE activities safe for everyone. This means:<\/p><ul><li>Don\u2019t take or share pictures, video or audio which includes other people without their permission, or without appropriate parent\/carer permission for under 18s;<\/li><li>Don\u2019t share anything that someone else has shared without their permission;<\/li><li>Don\u2019t share your own or others\u2019 personal details publicly \u2013 this includes contact details, social media or other online account names\/handles, links to blogs\/streams, links or codes to access games, etc.;<\/li><li>Adults should not share personal contact details with children or young people (or vice versa), or connect with them on social media. If something needs to be shared, for example additional content from a session, this should go via a teacher or parent\/carer;<\/li><li>Everyone should use appropriate language at all times and must not share, link to or display any inappropriate materials or content, including in the background of their video or audio feeds for online events and\/or in pictures or videos;<\/li><li>Children and Young people should be appropriately supervised for all MWE activities, and should access online activities using a supervised adult account;<\/li><li>Follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/mathsweekengland.co.uk\/?page_id=3103\">Maths Week England Safeguarding Policy<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Anyone who does not follow the Code of Conduct may have to be removed from MWE events and\/or activities.
