Who we are<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our website address is: mathsweekengland.co.uk. Maths Week England, including the website, is maintained by a committee of volunteers as shown here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We may ask you for any or all of the following when you sign up:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First and last name, email address, your school, and the number of people participating<\/em> in Maths Week. <\/em>We may also collect details of your IP address to protect against spam or fraud. We may ask for your age but only to confirm that you are an adult. This data will not be used in any other way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We use capture forms embedded on our site, and hosted by Mailvio. Here is their privacy policy<\/a> in full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why we collect your data<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We use your name and email address to communicate with you about maths week. We use information about your school to ascertain who is taking part in Maths Week. Your school postcode will be used to plot a pin on a participation map. The map may be shared on social media websites but you and your school will not be named. Your contact details are also required to enter competitions and to notify winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

External Agencies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Maths Week England Website contains links to external agencies, such as competition providers, who may keep your data to contact you about future events, but they may not pass this on to anyone else. Maths Week England is not responsible for any data you submit to external agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How we secure your data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your data is not stored by Maths Week England on our website, but by password-protected access on mailvio.com. They use encryption to keep your data safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor\u2019s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Media<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. You are also responsible for ensuring that you have full parental permission before sharing any images or videos containing children. Any videos or images submitted may be used by Maths Week England for promotional purposes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. All users can request to see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information. We may keep your personal information for up to 3 years from the date of your most recent registration<\/em> unless you request that we delete it. This is so we can contact you with information about future Maths Weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have the right to request details of what information Maths Week England currently holds about you.
